Powerful bouquet

Black colour with garnet highlights. Frank nose of grilled spices. Opens with roasted plum and bitter cocoa. Supple attack, lingering cocoa and leather notes. Good persistence. Finish of thyme and spices.

Features

The Cuvelier family's flagship since 1903, 32 hectares of vines are used to produce Château Le Crock and its second wine, Château La Croix St Estephe. Average age: 47 years Density: 8,700 vines per hectare Soil type: Garonne gravel on a sandy-clay subsoil Growing method: Traditional double Guyot pruning, full tillage and mating disruption throughout the vineyard, early leaf-thinning and targeted green harvesting.
