Domain and appellation

    Founded in 1692, Taylor's is one of the oldest and last family-run Port wine factories.

        Terroir: Situated on schistose slopes, the vines rest on a granite subsoil. Cultivation is carried out on terraces clinging to steep cliffs that drop into the Douro Valley.

        Viticulture: Taylor's sources its wines from Quintas Varguellas, Terra Feita and do Junco.

        Winemaking: Taylor's 10 Years Old is blended from a selection of the best wines (from a single year), matured in oaked barrels for almost 20 months before further ageing in bottle.
