Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

This pale with silver green highlights wine has fragrances recalling citrus fruits and fresh pineapple. It is light-bodied and supple, fruity and greedy. The whole is freshened by a touch of white flowers.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Over 50% the Corsican wine carries the “Ile de Beauté” IGP appellation.

Domain and appellation

  • Saint Florent

The St Florent domain, as known as Saint Flo, is located in Corsica.

    • Terroir: The Corsica is a mountainous territory located in the middle of the sea. Thus, it is cradled by sea breezes. This is why Corsican wines are typical and different, thanks to a mixing of Corsican and international vintages. The grapes come from estates carefully selected, located in the best territories of the east coast of Corsica.
    • Viticulture: The producers decided to respect the terroir and the vine. They always look for the permanent expression of each vintage.
    • Wine-making: The fermentation is done at low temperature. The first juices are selected carefully. Then the wine rests and ferments.
