Fruity and well-rounded
Its dark ruby color offers a nice nose with red fruit aromas with a minty edge and violet. Taste-wise, this wine has a character of great balance and finesse. It is clear, full and nervous with a nice envelope. Its finish is stretched over a mineral edge and ends with tight and coated tannins.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
Robert et Marcel
Located on the hill of Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg, Saumur Cave now comes under the identity of its two founders "Robert and Marcel". This wine cooperative is one of the few in France to have a common set of specifications requiring 100% of its winegrowers to practice winemaking while respecting the environment.
- Terroir: Comprising 300 members, the vineyards cover over 1,800 hectares.
- Viticulture: All winegrowers from the cooperative carry the label « AgriConfiance ». Harvesting is carried out in October with very ripe fruit.
- Vinification: The gentle pneumatic pressing precedes a thermo-regulated fermentation tank at 17 ° / 19 °C and aging on lees of 6 to 7 months.
