Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and light
Lovely rosé colour with slight purple tinges. Nice frank and fresh nose of fresh fruit, floral notes, notes of pomegranates, raspberries. Good balance, frank, rather light and fresh body, frank and greedy fruits. Sapid finish, nice crunchy rosé.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
The domain of St Florent, known as Saint Flo, is situated in Corsica.
-Terroir: Corsica, a mountain in the sea, is rocked by sea breezes. It is thanks to this that Corsica creates wines of great typicity, through blends of Corsican and international grape varieties. The grapes come from carefully selected properties, located on the best territories of the east coast of Corsica.
-Viticulture: The producers are committed to respecting the terroir and the vines. They are in constant search of the original expression of each grape variety.
-Vinification: The pressing is carried out at low temperature. The first juices are carefully selected. The wine then matures and ferments cold.
