Well-rounded

Dark garnet colour with brick tints. Nose to open then, notes of fur, leather, heady. Fleshy attack, present tannins, nice grain, tension, power. Roasted and leathery character. Satin finish, with candied pepper, medium persistence.

Features

Domain and appellation

    From the knights of the Hundred Years' War to the philosophers of the Enlightenment, this ancient seigniory has seen men with very marked characters come and go. The wines of Château Olivier, which are remnants of history, have been classified as Grands Crus since 1953. The cuvée Seigneurerie d'Olivier is the second wine produced by this estate. Terroir: This 220-hectare estate, 60 of which are vines, is planted on gravelly soil with a clay-limestone subsoil.
