Domain and appellation

  • Founded in 1933 by Louis Gambert de Loche, the Cave de Tain benefits from the expertise of 300 wine-growers. Terroir: teh plots are selected for this Saint-Péray rest on a granite base with silt, loess and limestone debris. Viticulture: The yields of the plots are limited, in order to guarantee the optimum maturity of the grapes. Vinification: This white is produced exclusively based on Marsanne. AFter a soft pressing of the grapes, the fermentation is done partially in barrels and tanks at 18°C; Malolactic fermentation for 15% of the volume. Aging in 400ml barrels ( of 2012 to 2018) for 75% of the volume; 25% in tanks, on fine lees with stirring.
