Domain and appellation
Château du Galoupet
Located on the maritime border, this Cru AOC classified Côtes de Provence since 1955, is one of the largest wineries in the appellation. The Galoupet Castle is one of the few properties in Provence to benefit from an underground cellar.
- Terroir: The vineyard of 72 hectares is based on calcite schist hillsides.
- Viticulture: The grapes are harvested at night, perfectly ripe, to avoid high temperatures.
- Vinification: Wine bleeding and direct pressing. A maceration tank from 4 to 8 hours, at low temperature and with the absence of air, precedes a fermentation at 16°C.
Grapes Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle
