Fruity and crisp

What a journey the tasting of this pale beige-colored wine is! Indeed, as soon as the bottle is opened, you will discover at nose notes of pear and hawthorn. In mouth, it is also all about the discovery. You will appreciate its attack, supple and greedy. The finish features a fruity and lemony taste. A floral note flavors the whole.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • The history of the company goes back to 1911 when the first winery was founded by Antonio Sperone Father, in Turin, in the north-west of Italy. The family business was gradually transformed into a modern organization and, in 1982, the Sperone family acquired Tenute Neirano in Mombaruzzo (Asti): a 17th century villa, perched on the hills of Monferrato, surrounded by 25 hectares of vineyards in full heart of the best vineyards in the wine region of Piedmont.

     
     

    • Terroir: Piedmont is unique in Italy, colder continental winter climate and significantly lower rainfall due to the protective effect of the Alps, hot and dry summer.

       
    • Viticulture: The vineyards are usually planted on hillsides, between 150-400 meters above sea level.

       
    • Vinification: Manual harvesting, slow pressing, and temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel vats. Breeding runs on fine lees in stainless steel vats.
