Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and light
Lemon colour with golden tints. Straightforward nose with peach and citrus fruit aromas. Opens on apricot and yellow fruit notes. Tart attack, small frank character, long fruitiness. Average persistence.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Do you know ?
To obtain a wine grading at 9°, it goes through a dealcoholisation stage. A small volume is heavily dealcoholised and blended in proportion with the original tank to achieve the desired level.
Domain and appellation
Domaine La Colombette
Created at the end of the 19th century by M. Louis PUGIBET, blacksmith, the Colombette estate was passed downfrom generation to generationfor more than a century.
- Terroir: Situated in the north of Béziers, at the very gates of the town, on the hill separating the plains of Orb and Libron, the vineyard benefits from a provoleged placement. Facing the Mediterranean, it is spread over a 100m vertical drop.
- Viticulture: Work on the vineyard is carried out most years with respect to the environment, management of the so called 'natual bush' vine.
