Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Its garnet color with purple highlights gives you a nose on fresh pepper, cooked red fruits. On the palate, this wine presents a supple attack, fullness, balance. Final frank and tasty.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Missiones de Rengo is born in 2001 in Chile at the heart of the valley of Rapel, in a small village called Rengo.

    • Terroir: This place benefits from a particular alliance of a noble terroir, a Mediterranean climate with a mild sun and water in abundance.
    • Wine-making: The fermentation is made with a controlled temperature (under 28°C). Follows the step of the reassembly, done 3 to 4 times a day. Juice at the bottom of the tank are pumped and put at the top of the tank. It helps obtaining a beautiful color and keeping the fruity side of the grape. The whole process is made to produce fruity wine, round in mouth.
