Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Luminous greenish yellow colour, frank and open nose of hazelnuts, nuts, hint of white peach, hint of fern, full-bodied, round with a heady touch, typical character.

Straw with green tints

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Cub. Collection Nicolas

Originating from the vineyards of  Languedoc Roussillon, this Chardonnay bears the Vin de France appellation.

    • Viticulture: The bunches come from established partnerships with the local wine growers.
    • Vinification: The wine is a result of a collaboration betweenthe House of Nicolas and the cellars of the region. The oenologists of Nicolas select the cellars capable of making the best of the terroir around them. They evaluate the quality of the new vintages every year, and decide the blends and combination. the wine is blended and bottled in the Castel wine centres and then again tested by the oenologists at Nicolas before their marketing. Situated between innovation and know how, the castel wine centres impose a political quality which falls within the perspective of sustainable development. The international certifications: ISO, IFS, BRC or again ECOCERT come to reward the practices of several centres.
