Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

An explosive nose is only waiting to be discovered with this gold wine. It releases aerial and greedy fragrances of white peach, counterbalanced by the freshness of honeysuckle. You will find this greediness also in mouth, where the attack is supple and unveils a taste of white fruits and the finish, all about balance and roundness.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The culture of vine in the Luberon dates back to the Antiquity with the Romans that created real wine-making domains.

Domain and appellation

  • Maison M. Chapoutier

The Maison M. Chapoutier cultivated its vines respecting the nature’s balance and the terroirs since 1808. The blazon “Fat et Spera” meaning “do and hope” has become a real motto for the family because it illustrates the patience and the boldness it takes to elaborate high-quality wines as this one.

    • Terroir: The vineyard is located on a rocky soil made of scree on clay sands, at the foot of the mountains of the Luberon. It benefits from an ideal climate: with about 2600 hours of sunshine each year, the Luberon is one of the French regions that have the best sunshine amount.
    • Viticulture: Harvests are done when the fruit is at its perfect ripeness.
    • Wine-making: After pressing, the must is settled at cold temperature during 24 hours. The fermentation lasts 3 weeks, between 14 and 18°C to develop the aromas. The wine ages in tanks on dregs without a malolactic fermentation.
