Our oenologists' opinion
Well-rounded
Dark garnet with bright red highlights, clear and brilliant. Open nose, with notes of toasted wood, spices, coffee and dark chocolate. Supple on the palate, with tension and finesse. Character of undergrowth, roasted coffee, fairly fat tannins, small envelope. Full-bodied, spicy finish, medium persistence.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
A great alternative to the prestigious Grands Crus of Bordeaux, the second wines promise feats in the years of great vintage. Coming from the youngest plots of the great Bordeaux châteaux, they grow in the same terroirs and benefit from unique know-how in viticulture and winemaking.

CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC
2020, a vintage put to the test. Mechanical harvesting with on-board sorting. Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. After malolactic fermentation (which takes place in excellent conditions thanks to the temperature control equipment), the wine is matured in vats (2 3 of the volume with alternative wood and 1 3 of the volume without) for 8 months. A beautiful ruby-red colour. The nose has a distinct Médoc character, with hints of wild berries and Espelette peppers. Fresh and well-balanced on the palate. The fruity aromas are delicately expressed in a slender body.
