Powerful bouquet

At nose, notes of Morello cherries and black chocolate are released by this garnet colored wine. It is dark and limpid. In mouth, it shows a fruity side and finesse. It demonstrates also a real personality as it is full-bodied. This wine has a tasteful finish that combines the flavor of maraschino cherries and black pepper notes. 



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Nuiton Beaunoy

    The Nuiton Beaunoy maison is located at Beaune. It has been created in 1957. It is an association of 80 producers that cultivate 430 hectares. The Hautes Côtes de Nuits represents about twenty towns at the west side of Nuits Saint Georges.

    • Terroir: The vineyard peaks at 400 meters. Thus it is exposed to fresh night that create a lively and tasteful Pinot Noir. The vines are 15 to 40 years old. Each hectare has 3 500 plants. The soil is clay-limestone.
    • Viticulture: Harvests are done mechanically.
    • Wine-making: This step are done with stainless steel cellars thermo-regulated. Selected yeasts are allowing the alcoholic fermentation. The wine rests then inside stainless steel cellars on lees during 15 months.
