Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
Pale pink colour with white gold highlights. Clear nose of red fruits, aromas of cranberry and aniseed. Supple attack with tension and balance. Frank and greedy length, character on red fruits, amylic notes but without heaviness. Frank, greedy character. Frank, sapid and iodized finish.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domaine Gérard Bertrand
Gérard Bertrand is an internationally prestigious estate that contributes to the reputation of the Sud de France vineyard, the largest wine-producing area in the world. Gérard Bertrand's wines are based on the most beautiful terroirs of the Languedoc Roussillon region and are a blend of tradition and innovation.
Terroir: The grapes come from two limestone and clay-limestone terroirs: one located in the Pyrénées-Orientales, notably Tautavel, where the small yields accentuate their mineral concentration, the other near the Thau basin, marked by the maritime influence which brings the saline character.
Vinification: The vinification is very similar to that of a white wine. To preserve the delicate pale colour, the grapes are pressed directly after harvesting, only the run-off juice is kept. Fermentation at 16-18°c allows the extraction of the varietal aromas and the preservation of the natural freshness. -
