Velouté de poireaux aux huîtresOur oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
This straw-yellow wine offers an open nose with notes of white fruit and acacia, with a hint of elder syrup. On the palate, it has a supple attack, tension and fullness with a character on freshness and white flowers.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Do you know ?
Burgundy wines are produced mainly with single grape varieties. The leading varieties, the pinot noir and chardonnay grapes, thrive in this region with a semi-continental climate to produce exceptional red and white wines.

Château de Meursault
Founded in the XIth century, the domain of the Château de Meursault has never ceased to extend the size of its vineyard.
- Terroir: The Clos du Château is a plot of 8 hectares of chardonnay, planted in 1975. The vines lie on a soil of light limestone alluvium.
- Viticulture: The yield is controlled thanks to a manual fruit thinning made with a secater. Also, a reasoned agriculture has been set up.
- Wine-making: A slow and progressive pressurization precedes a static settling of 12 hours. The must are then put in oak barrels to start fermenting alcohol. The wine is then brought up in new barrels (25%), in barrels of one or two wines and in stainless steel tanks, for 12 to 15 months.
