Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

With its gray robe with orange highlights, this wine offers an open nose of cranberries, rosemary spice and boxwood. Nerve palate, on white pepper.
Good length, a warm touch

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine Napoléon Brizi

The Napoléon Brizi domain is located in the town of Patrimonio, in the french region of Haute-Corse. Its founder is the grandfather of Napoléon Brizi. At the death of this last, the establishment has been took over by Orenga de Gaffory.

Terroir : At the foot of the central cliff of the vineyard, the vines are located on hills. They benefit from a natural barrier against coldness and wind.

Viticulture: The harvest is performed manually and the vines are cultivated in a traditional way.
