Fruity and light

The yellow color of this wine is sprinkled with beautiful silver highlights. Fragrances typical of the grape variety Sauvignon and evoking the blackcurrant bud and exotic fruits are released. In mouth, liveliness, freshness and balance are matching with aromas of exotic fruits appearing at the length. Notes of white flowers and jasmine follow. This amazing wine should not be missed!

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine Lalande

    Located between the cities of Carcassonne and Toulouse, in a town called Pennautier, the domain Lalande, built in 1711, takes advantage of an exceptional spot. The domain is crossed by the Midi Canal, created at the same moment as the vineyard. This last extends nowadayson 135 hectares. A traditional culture using techniques of reasoned struggle has been adopted, as well as a principle of traceability.

     

    • Terroir: The vineyard peaks at 400 meters on hills bathed in sunlight. It is located on a clay limestone soil.
       
    • Viticulture: Harvests are done at night to preserve the aromas and the freshness.
       
    • Wine-making: Grapes are subjected to a pre-fermentation maceration to extract all the aromas of the Sauvignon. The fermentation is done at low temperature (between 14 and 16°C) to reveals all of the diverse aromas. Then the wine ages in tanks on thin dregs.
