Powerful bouquet

Purple colour with brick tints. Beautiful open and vinous nose of violet, lilac, then notes of red pepper, hints of black fruit gratin. Supple attack, balance, frank, full-bodied, vinous, silky tannins. Straightforward fruity and floral character on spicy notes, straightforward finish.



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine De Beauséjour

    The Beauséjour domain is located between the towns of Panzoult and Cravant Les Coteaux. Domain extends on 93 hectares whose 27 hectares are one single part.

    • Terroir: Vines are located on hills directly south. They are protected from the North wind by the property woods. Two types of soils are located on the domain: clay-limestone and sandy-clay. Each hectare has 4 500 plants.
    • Viticulture: The wine is made of one single grape variety. It is only composed of Cabernet franc. Harvests are done mechanically and a sorting is done before the setting in tanks.
    • Wine-making: In function of the years and the vintages, the length of fermentation of the wine inside thermo-regulated tanks vary. The fermentation temperature is from 28 to 32 degrees. The wine rests in barrels for 6 to 8 months for special vintages.
