Fruity and well-rounded

Its pale yellow color offers an open nose on notes of cut grass, hawthorn and lime. In the mouth this wine has an acidulous and crisp attack. Mineral finish.

Domain and appellation

  • Cave de Tain

    Founded in 1933 by Louis Gambert de Loche, the Cave de Tain benefits from the expertise of 300 wine-growers. They produce wines designated as Hermitage, Crozes Hermitage, Saint Joseph, Cornas and Saint Péray but also local wines on more than 1000 hectares of vines.

    • Terroir: Selected plot for this white Crozes-Hermitage have granitic soils and fluvio-glacial alluvial soils. The Cave de Tain produces more than 50% of this AOC designation.
       
    • Viticulture: Plots’ yields are limited to guarantee an optimum maturity of the grapes.
       
    • Wine-making: This white wine is exclusively produced from the Marsanne grape variety. A meticulous selection of the plots have been done. The wine-making process follows numerous steps: the pneumatic pressing, severe settling, maximum protection against oxidation and thermo-regulated fermentation. This wine rests on dregs inside stainless steel tanks before a hasty bottling.
