Well-rounded

Its ruby color with purple hues offers a nice nose of black fruits. On the palate, this wine is balanced and full-bodied. This red wine is slightly sweet. The finale demonstrates the character of the wine, which gives you spicy aromas with a hint of cocoa.

Domain and appellation

  • Maison Lorgeril

    Located in altitude between olive trees and garrigues, the Château de Ciffre gathers three different protected designations of origin (PDO) : Faugères, Saint-Chinian, and Coteaux du Languedoc.

     

    • Terroir: The vineyard extending on 35 hectares is located at the crossing of schist soils and clay-limestone soils.
       
    • Viticulture: Harvests are hand-picked and done at the optimum ripeness of the fruit.
       
    • Vinification: The maceration in tanks lasts for 35 to 40 days. It is followed by a maturation in tanks and barrels.
