Our oenologists' opinion
Its garnet color offers an open woody nose, notes of camphor, clove and leather. On the palate, this wine presents a velvety and fleshy attack, with a nice character on the spices and silky tannins. Fleshy and spicy finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Appearing in the seventeenth century, the notion of "Cru Bourgeois" was given to the Bordeaux bourgeois productions of the time who owned the vineyards of the Medoc.
Domain and appellation
Château Saint Martin
Château Saint-Martin is a family estate created more than half a century ago by Mr. Ducos. Since the 1980s, Michel Chevalier, the current owner, assisted by his son Cédric, has raised this cru to the level of the best in the appellation.
- Terroir: This vineyard is located on grave and clay-limestone soils
- Vinification: Traditional vinification of medocaine in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. The breeding takes place for 12 months in oak barrels. Bottling is done at the property.
