Get ready to discover this nice well-made garnet-colored wine that releases fragrances of pepper and roasted black fruits. Rich and spicy, its attack unveils a taste of eucalyptus bringing freshness to the tasting. This freshness leaves space for roasted notes, followed by the long, powerful and spiced finish that reveals nice tannins grains.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
The vineyard of Château Lestage dates back to Roman times, and this splendid architectural Napoleon III château was built in the 19th century. Classified a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 1932, the Château Lestage was bought by the Chanfreau family in 1963.
- Terroir: Located between Listrac-Médoc and Moulis on the Puy de Menjon at 45m above sea level, this area of 42 hectares is based on Pyrenean gravel soils with a limestone underground.
- Viticulture: In the vineyard, sustainable agriculture is privileged and vines are cared for throughout the year. The harvest is both manual and mechanical.
- Wine-making: The vinification is conducted in temperature-controlled vats for a period of 20-25 days. The wine is aged 12 months in oak barrels, renewed by thirds every year.
