Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Its brick color offers an open and expressive nose, on notes of compote red fruits, peony and roasted wood. On the palate, this wine presents a supple and vinous attack, with finesse. Fleshy finish.

Brick Red

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Château Brondelle

Since its purchase in 1927, the family estate has continued to develop. For many years, the Château Brondelle has become one of the reliable values of the appellation thanks to a complex and varied terroir.

    • Terroir: This vineyard is located on the left bank of the river Garonne, between the river and the forest of the Landes.

    • Viticulture: Harvesting is done manually and mechanically.

    • Vinification: Prolonged maceration of 3 to 4 weeks, combined with a permanent temperature control (28 ° C) allows optimum extraction of color and tannins. Malo-lactic fermentation is done entirely. The aging takes place for 12 months in barrels before bottling.
