Powerful bouquet

Brick colour. Small nose of cherry stems, pits, hint of jammy fruit. Balanced on a full-bodied wine, quite fleshy. Character with a hint of vanilla and wood that melts away. Fresh and young finish on red berries.

DOMAINE JOSEPH MELLOT

Domaine Joseph Mellot is a historic family estate located in Sancerre, whose family origins date back to 1513. Over the generations, the family has become the specialist and ambassador of the Great Wines of the Centre Loire thanks to its unique know-how. Joseph Mellot wines express the quintessence of each of their terroirs, recognised and distinguished worldwide for their high quality.

    Terroir: The vineyard is located on clay-limestone slopes.
    Viticulture: The estate has adopted sustainable agriculture.
    Vinification: The wine is aged for 10 months in wooden barrels. The wood used for the ageing in barrels comes from the oak forests of the region (Allogny and Saint Palais).
