Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

This wine offers a nose on notes of gunflint and hazelnut. It is woody. In the palate, this wine presents a round and greedy attack. Tangy and crisp finish.

Straw with green tints

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Composed of fossils of Exora virgula, which are small oyster shaped, the Chablis subsoil gives the wines a unique character.

Domain and appellation

  • La Chablisienne

Created in 1923, the cooperative Chablisienne today covers 25% of the Chablis vineyard with over 300 winemakers. Les Vaux Serene is a special edition created exclusively by the cooperative for Nicolas.
