Fruity and well-rounded

Nice fruity and floral fragrance of wisteria, blackcurrant and cherry are released by this garnet-colored wine. This tendency is followed in mouth, where you will find the flavor of blackcurrant allying with the temper of the bell pepper. Well-balanced and frank, it also unveils a pleasant winey taste.



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

The Ganymede tanks, typical of the Loire Valley, collect the carbon dioxide produced by fermenting grapes for reinjecting at regular intervals under pressure in the grounds. This system allows shorter fermentation time for obtaining more fruity and slightly tannic wines.

Domain and appellation

  • Cave de Bourgueil

    Founded in 1931 by a dozen winemakers wanting to reduce their production costs, the Cave de Bourgueil is now composed of 55 farmers.


    • Terroir: The vineyards are based on calcareous clay and sandy-gravelly soils to produce 320 hectares and 20 hectares appellation Bourgueil appellation Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil.


    • Viticulture: The farming is favored in order to preserve the vineyards. Each operator is audited three times a year by the technician of the vines and the winemaker. The establishment of a differentiated compensation also encourage winemakers to pamper their vines. The harvest is fragmentary.


    • Vinification: The wine is vinified according to their origin in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, vessels with propellers, temperature-controlled concrete vats and vats of Ganymede.
