Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
The lovers of wines that have temper will be pleased with this clear ruby-colored wine that will show you its colorful personality with its scents of kirsch, black fruits and cherries. This tendency is confirming in mouth where the taste of red fruits and cherry are extremely present. The tannic structure announces a fresh and tasteful finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
The Lupé Cholet domain creates wines from each region of the Great Burgundy. Its varied range is representative of the mosaic of terroirs of the region.
- Wine-making: After the harvest, a severe sorting of grapes is done, followed by a light treading and a total or partial destemming. The pre-fermentary maceration is done at cold temperature in oak tanks. With this technic, the result is rich and complex wine with fruity aromas.
