Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
Its light straw color offers a fresh nose of hazelnuts. The palate is balanced, round, bold and nervous with character and freshness. The finish is tensed and coated.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Real mosaic made of different terroirs, the Burgundy region is divided in many different “climates.” Those climates represent unique geological and climatic conditions and were given inalterable names and surfaces.
Domain and appellation
Home of the pinot noir and chardonnay, Burgundy is a viticultural region with many different terroirs, locally called “climates.” The AOC Bourgogne is the generic appellation for this wide region which encompasses multiple sub-appellations.
- Terroir: Stretched on 2,850 hectares, the vineyards lay on very diverse terroirs with clay, marl and limestone soils.
- Viticulture: Cultivated on different "climates,” Chardonnay and pinot noir, the main grape varieties, offer different expression with a broad array of aromas. Each climate is surrounded by walls and called a “clos.” The viticultural methods used are mostly non-interventionists and environmental-friendly.
- Vinification: The wines are vinified in tanks and/or oak barrels. Those wines result from the collaboration between the maison Nicolas and local wine cellars, which are selected for their abilities to enhance their surrounding terroirs.
- Chardonnay : 100%
