Our oenologists' opinion
Its garnet color offers an open nose on cooked red fruits and hints of zan. On the palate, this wine presents a supple and velvety attack. Velvety finish on round and long tannins.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
Located between Château Figeac and Cheval Blanc, this Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion benefits from an exceptional terroir. If the Féret was already praising it in 1856, its origins date back to the antiquity.
- Terroir: The 10 hectares domain lays on a clay-limestone soil with merlot and cabernet franc for main grape varieties.
- Viticulture: The vines are 25 years old in average with hand-picked and mechanical harvests.
- Vinification: The fermentation and maceration occur in cement and stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for 50% in tanks and 50% in new barrels.
Grapes Merlot, Cabernet Franc
- Merlot : 70%
- Cabernet Franc : 30%
