Our oenologists' opinion
Its garnet color offers a nice pure and elegant nose of red fruits, cherry, core with finely woody notes. On the palate, this wine has a nice balance, fine, round, ample, with notes typed of spices. Finale on noble, and velvety tannins.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
Château Haut Marbuzet
Located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Haut-Marbuzet, classified Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, has been owned by Hervé Duboscq since 1952. In 1962, his son Henri joined him to help him attain the "Gloire Du Haut-Marbuzet". And thus the most beautiful father/son associations were born. Duboscq family also owns the chateaux Chambert-Marbuzet, Tour De Marbuzet and Mac Carthy, all three classified Crus Bourgeois of Saint-Estèphe.
- Terroir: The 50-hectare vineyard is located on a hilltop with gunzien gravel, with clay-limestone subsoil.
- Viticulture: Harvesting is done manually.
- Vinification: A long maceration in thermo-regulated vats, accompanied by daily stirring, followed by maturation of 18 months in oak barrels, which are new for each vintage. From these containers, the Château Haut-Marbuzet draws a fragrant creaminess that masks the traditional virility of Saint-Estèphe wines. Thus, a charmer from the time of bottling, with age, it attains the greatness that affords the genius of its terroir.
