The estate belonging to the heirs of Paul LORON, is high in regional tourism and represented by the cellar of the old church which holds wine tasting functions in the vault and recieves a large number of visitors from all over the world throughout the entire year.
Domain and appellation
Domaine de la Vieille Eglise
Owner of the Billards à Saint-Armour estate since 1817, the Loron has always had passion for terroir. Domaine de la Veille Eglise in Juliénas, Château de Fleurie, Domaine Barbet in Moulin-à-Vent, Château de la Pierre in Brouilly and Régnié, they possess more then 90 hectares of vines altogether.
- Terroir: the estate extends over 14 hectares with plots situated on the mest terroirs of the appellation: the Poupets, Mouilles and Gonnards.
- Viticulture: In organic farming certification since 2008, the sols have worked in a traditional way and permenantly without weedkillers and insecticides.
- Vinification: The gathering of grapes is done manually in order to respect the integrity of the grape. The harvest of the estate is vinified according to tradition Beaujolais methods in the former church in Juliénais.
