Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful wine with potential
Its garnet color offers a fairly open nose with notes of roasted wood and a touch of plum brandy. On the palate, this wine presents a supple and velvety attack. Tasty and elegant finish, ideal with a dark chocolate pie.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
Founded in 1831, the Maison Albert Bichot owns 4 domaines located in the 4 leading regions of Burgundy, in Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Nowadays, Albéric Bichot is running this family business since 1996.
- Terroir: Located on two towns, the Nuits-Saint-Georges is extending on about 175 hectares of vines that have brown soils composed of clay.
- Viticulture: Each domain has a team of experts that has on-point knowledges of their plots. Harvests are done manually.
- Wine-making: A maceration of 20 to 28 days is made, with temperatures controlled. Pigeage (the marc at the top of the tanks is mixed with the must) are done every day. The wine ages in oak tanks whose 30 to 35% are new and for 14 to 16 months.
