Fruity and well-rounded
Garnet colour with dark red reflections, dense, limpid and shiny. Open nose on notes of laurel, juniper and green pepper, menthol hints and tabacco. Supple, vinous and medium body attack with notes of laurel, peppers, skating tannins. Sapid and quite firm finish to tenserise, nice bouquet with a heady tip, medium persistence, nice character on spices and roasted wood.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Located between fermentation and bottling, farming is one of the key steps of winemaking. There are two types of aging. The first is byaging in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, concrete, or hard resin between 1 and 12 months. This system is ideal for white, rosé, and light reds, that are fruity and ready to eat. The second, the barrel aging, can last from 12-36 months. If the aging tank does not alter the taste of wine, the barrel has a direct influence on aromas.

Château LanioteLaniote Castle is one of the smallest Grands Crus of Saint-Emilion. The care given to viticulture as well as winemaking techniques highlights the qualities of this grand cru appellation.
- Terroir: Located on the right bank of the Dordogne, the vineyard of 5 hectares grows on a clay and limestone soil that is conducive to the Merlot grape varieties.
- Viticulture: The harvest is manual and sorted twice before stemming.
- Vinification: A plot vinification is favored in stainless steel and cement vats. Aging lasts from 12 to 15 months.
