CHÂTEAU LAGRANGE
Château Lagrange is a property known since the Middle Ages. The identity of each of its different owners from 1631 to the present day has been traced and found. Terroir : Of the total area of the property of 157 hectares, 115 hectares are planted with vines and the majority of the parcels are drained. Viticulture : Located in the Saint-Julien appellation, the vineyard extends over two gravelly ridges of "Gunzian" origin, oriented North-South. Sometimes fine, sometimes coarser, these gravels are accompanied by either sand or ferruginous clay. Vinification : A traditional Bordeaux vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats managed by a thermoregulation system. The length of the vatting period, which can vary from 15 to 25 days, is determined by tasting according to the tannic development of the wines during fermentation.
