Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Violet colour with black reflections. This new beaujolais offers a nose signed on black fruits, cherries and notes of blueberries. Nice balance in the mouth, crisp, fruity, vinous, envelope with a hint of sweetness, straightforward and crisp.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
Beaujolais Nouveau is also called 'Beaujolais primeur ". A wine called "primeur" is a wine that is sold almost immediately after harvest. To qualify for the designation "Beaujolais Nouveau", the wines must come either from the Beaujolais appellation or the Beaujolais village.
Domain and appellation
Maison Jean Loron
Set up in southern Burgundy in 1711, the Maison Jean Loron produces wines that reveal the best climates. Our philosophy: respect the diverity of each terroir. We benefit from a know-how passed from father to son for more than 300 years.
This Beaujolais Nouveau is from over 40 year old vines, cup shaped because of the steep slopes. We are here in southern Beaujolais in the massif called "granite", a buttress of the Massif central which reemerged in the teriary area.
It is on this type of land, wit good drainage, that the black Gamay is the most elegant.
