Château Chevrol Bel Air
Located in Neac, the Château Chevrol Bel Air spreads across 30 hectares at the crossing of 3 different appellations: Lalande de Pomerol, Montagne Saint-Emilion, and Bordeaux Supérieur.
- Terroir: The 20 hectares vineyard carries the Lalande de Pomérol appellation and lays on silico-clay soils with gravels and clinkers subsoils. Merlot and cabernet franc are the main grape varieties with a small addition of cabernet sauvignon and côt.
- Viticulture: The vines are 40 years old in average. The harvests are hand-picked on ripe fruits and require a selective cuts in the vineyard.
- Vinification: The fermentation and maceration occurs in stainless steel or ciment tanks for 3 weeks. The wine then age in french oak barrels and stainless steel tanks in order to maintain as much fruits as wood aromas.
