A native of Spain, the Solera system is a method of assembly and aging developed for over 500 years. The barrels are stacked on several levels, depending on their age and profile (older rums at the bottom and younger ones above) enabling "continuous connection" in order to fill the part of angels in barrels.

Zacapa
Founded in 1876, the city of Zacapa is located at the east of Guatemala, peaking at more than 200 meters. In 1976, to celebrate the centenary of the town, the principal firm of Guatemalan rum decided to elaborate a one of a kind premium spirit: The Ron Zacapa Centenario.
- Distillery: This rum is produced in the distillery Industrias Licoreras, on the plateau of Guatemala, 2 300 meters above the sea level. This place’s nickname is “the house above the clouds”.
- Manufacturing: Edition Negra is the result of a successive move of the distillate in 4 American oak tanks subjected to high temperature. At tasting, nuances of acajou and notes of dried fruits and chocolate are unveiling in mouth.
