Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Fragrances of white flowers, citrus fruits and passionfruit are getting out of this yellow wine. In mouth, it is well-balanced and full of finesse. The taste of fresh apricot is perceptible. A mineral touch refreshes the whole taste.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

The Kitterlé was mentioned for the first time in 1699. This hill has been marketed under its own name since 1830.
Domain and appellation
Founded in 1810 by Nicolas Schlumberger, this family estate operates 140 hectares of vines including 70 hectares classified Grands Crus on 4 terroirs: Kitterlé, Kessler, Saering, Spiegel.
- Terroir: The Kitterlé is a volcano-sandstone terroir which occupies a unique site on the mountain ledge by drawing a rocky spur with 3 exhibitions (south-west, south and south-east). The light sandy soil retained by immense dry stone walls allows only a limited yield (30 to 50 hl / ha in Riesling).
- Vinification: The grapes are harvested manually. Different stages of winemaking are then practiced: Pressing in whole grape, static settling and fermentation in thermoregulated lightning for 1 to 4 months. The aging is carried out on fine lees for 8 months.
- Riesling : 100%
