Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
With its garnet color, this wine offers an open and fruity nose, with notes of cherries, pepper and liquorice. On the palate, it presents a supple, tangy, fruity attack. Elegant, vinous finish with finesse.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
Produced and consumed locally for a long time, Argentinian wines are today exported all around the world with the U.S as a main importer. This country was initiated to the wine industry back in the 16th century by the spanish settlers.
Domain and appellation
Eugenio Bustos arrived at the end of the 19th century in the valley of Uco and was pioneer there planting the first vines of Malbec, coming from France. He obtained these vines in payment for the sale of his best horses. Thus was born Finca La Celia in 1890, named in honor of his daughter Celia.
