Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Its orange dress offers an open nose with smoky, toasted and spicy. In the mouth, this wine has a beautiful envelope. It is full, round and elegant with a suave and cool down on fine bubbles.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

In the 50s, the Lanson Rosé Label was one of the first vintages of Champagne Rosé.

Domain and appellation

  • Lanson

Founded in 1760 by Francois Delamotte, La Maison Lanson is located in Reims. It is part of Lanson-BCC Group (Boizel Chanoine Champagne), elected 3rd champagne group in the world in 2013.

    • Terroir: This area of 800 hectares is based on clay and limestone soils, gravel, sand and chalk.

    • Viticulture: To complete its range, the estate provides grapes to winemakers outside. The practice of farming allows the development and preservation of this prestigious terroir.

    • Vinification: The Lanson Extra Age Rosé comes from many Grands Crus selected by the cellar master with a mix of three vintage years: 2002, 2004 and 2005. The Lanson style is also known for not practicing malolactic fermentation, allowing an optimal development of aromas.
