Au nord-ouest de Saint-Emilion, la très célèbre AOC Pomerol rassemble, sur un plateau argileux, les 784 ha du vignoble dont la modestie ne tient qu'à sa dimension  ; une terre exceptionnelle que transcende Petrus, l'un des tout premiers vins du Bordelais, aujourd'hui véritable mythe mondial.
