Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Its garnet color offers an open nose of cherry, fresh spicy notes and ginger. On the palate, this wine presents a good balance, full-bodied, frank with a character on red berries. Finale on tannins without fat.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine Guyon

Established in the 60’s by Antonin Guyon through successive plots’ purchase, the domain belongs today to his son Dominique Guyon.

    • Terroir: The 48 hectares domain lays on clay-limestone soils.

    • Viticulture: Much care is given to the vines with full plowing. The harvests are hand-picked and the grapes carefully carried to the vat room in small crates.

    • Vinification: The unique goal is to let the wines express their terroirs. Fermented in wooden tanks, the wine ages in oak barrels.
