Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Its gold amber color announces a smoked and spicy nose with aromas of candied oranges, green apple and vanilla. The palate is rich with honey and caramel notes. The finish is long and complex with a gourmet and intense style.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

As wines, whisky can be elaborated with a broad range of different ingredients. We talk about “single malt” when it is fully made of barley, and “blend” when comprised of both grains and malts.

Established in Glasgow in 1818 as a blending and export company, McClelland’s transports you through a unique range of whiskys that speaks for Scotland’s different regions. Less noticeable as it is for wines, Scotland’s whiskys are also marked by a sense of terroir.

    • Region: Scotland. Speyside region.

    • Distillery: McClelland’s.

    • Elaboration: Made solely with Speyside whisky, this single malt has a complex, fruit-driven and soft nature.
