Domain and appellation
It is in Jarnac, on the banks of the Charente, that the house Hine produces cognacs of exceptional finesse for over 250 years. Founded in 1763, it specialized in the production of old cognacs. In assembly line of the great terroir of Cognac, the Hine and Nicolas have mingled their expertise for over 80 years to create the Exclusive Reserves of la Maison Nicolas.
- Terroir: This area of 120 hectares including 70 of vines evolved on a calcareous Terroir.
- Vinification: Hine Vielle Fine Champagne is a blend of about 25 cognacs from Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne. After a double distillation on the lees which gives additional richness to the eaux-de-vie, the cognacs are aged in oak barrels.
