Domain and appellation
Distilleries et Domaines de Provence
Absinthe was favourite alcohol of 19th century artists. It was banned in 1915 for being too strong, too entrancing because of its levels of thujone... but "the green fairy" was never forgotten... and is back today.
Associated with art and artists through its packaging with the image of Van Gogh, Absente 55 is intended for a modern and trendy clientele who are in search of something different, with quality and uniqueness.
- Production: Absinthe is a liqueur made from alcohol, sugar, essence and the infusion of mugwort (Artemisia Vulgaris), green anise, star anise (anethole), lemon balm, mint and grand wormwood (Artemisia absinthium). It contains 10 mg of thujone, which adheres to the international standard.
