Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

A native of Spain, the Solera system is a method of blending and aging developed for over 500 years. The barrels are stacked on several levels, depending on their age and profile (older rums at the bottom and younger above) enabling "continuous connection" in order to fill the part in the barrels.

Domain and appellation

  • Botran

Since 1939, The Botran family has built a unique expertise, enabling it to develop highly original and typed rums. The Botran Reserva won the gold medal at the World Spirits Competition 2010, in San Francisco.

    • Manufacturing: Distilled from sugar cane honey, this rum is aged under the Solera system, for over 2300 meters above sea level. La Reserva is a blend of the finest rums from 5 to 15 years of age, raised in Bourbon casks, Bourbon re-toast, Porto and Olorosso.

  1. Stéphane

En comparaison du Diplomatico, celui est plus doux en bouche et il est moins sucré. Un bon rhum.
