Well-rounded

Golden colour with green highlights, medium bubbles. Open nose with notes of toast and frangipane, followed by floral and citrus notes. Lively, straightforward attack, vinous, supple, fine character, length, finesse on toasted almonds and candied fruit. The finish is sapid and greedy, almost chalky.

    Emilien Boutillat (Cellar Master at Piper-Heidsieck) and the Nicolas experts have combined their know-how to create this champagne cuvée with a hand-crafted dosage. They not only tasted the wines that make up the different dosage liqueurs, but also carried out numerous trials, varying both the wines and the amount of sugar in the liqueur. The dosage, a crucial step that sublimates the blending of a wine, is similar to the touch of spice added by a chef to perfect a dish.

    The result is Essentiel By Nicolas, a 4-hand blend whose balance and dosage are the hallmark of this wine's personality.
