Do you know ?
The wines vinified in traditional champenoise method are treated the same. The difference? The words "méthode champenoise" are reserved for wines from the famous vineyards of the Champagne region.
Domain and appellation
Louis RoedererFounded in 1776, the house was entrusted to the hands of Louis Roederer in 1833 to expand and establish itself on the finest terroirs of Champagne. While other domains bought their crops from wine growers, the house Roederer embarked against the current acquisition policy by acquiring more prestigious wines.
- Terroir: The house has vineyards in the three most important regions of Champagne: the Valley of the Marne, the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs.
- Viticulture: Spread over 240 hectares, the vineyards are divided into 410 plots. Like Bourgogne, the vines are pampered and worked to respect the diversity of terroirs.
- Vinification: This Roederer Vintage 2008 is assembled with 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. It averaged 4 years and is based on binding six months after disgorgement.
